Happy Birthday America

By July 5, 2023 No Comments

Yesterday our country celebrated its 247th birthday. Times have been especially turbulent the past few years, and the country is feeling like a pretty divisive place. However, regardless of the times, we are so fortunate to live in the United States of America.

On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence. Our country was officially independent from Great Britain and every year since then we have celebrated our independence.

This holiday is a time to come together with family and friends and celebrate the ideals that America was founded upon. The idea that all people are created equal regardless of where they came from and that we all have fundamental rights. Rights that include liberty, free speech, freedom of religion, due process of law, and freedom of assembly. The theme here is freedom. Freedom to live our lives wherever, with whomever we choose, in whatever ways that make us happy.

BOCA is proud to support these ideals and infuse them into our own culture. We are a diverse melting pot of ethnicities and religions, experiences and beliefs. Our differences are what makes us so great, just like America.

This weekend we celebrated the birth of our country and the freedoms it has afforded us as Americans. We enjoyed the freedom to do whatever it is that we wanted to do…BBQing with family and friends, traveling, attending parades, or just enjoying some much-needed R&R. We continue to believe in the original ideals upon which this country was founded and what it truly means to be an American. Happy birthday USA!
