Client Spotlight: InfluxData

By July 21, 2022 No Comments

At BOCA our clients are our family and we love nothing more than celebrating their successes. The third Thursday of every month is “National Get to Know Your Customer” day and in honor of this, BOCA is starting a new series to showcase our amazing clients! For our first installment, we are highlighting InfluxData.

InfluxData is the creator of InfluxDB, the leading time series platform that’s easy to start and scale, giving developers time to focus on features and functionalities in their apps that give them a competitive edge. Enterprises including Cisco, IBM and PayPal use the platform to build IoT, analytics, and cloud applications using time-stamped data. InfluxData is trusted by hundreds of organizations from startups to Fortune 500s, in nearly every industry including network monitoring, IoT monitoring, Industrial IoT and infrastructure and application monitoring. The platform helps its customers transform their business in less time – InfluxData refers to this as “Time to Awesome.”

“We build cool stuff for people who build cool stuff” – InfluxData

InfluxData is not only doing really cool things, but it has really cool core values too. It prioritizes a diverse work environment, where having different opinions is a good thing. Arwa Kaddoura, InfluxData CRO, recently wrote a contributed piece for TechCrunch that was all about breaking biases and diversifying sales teams.

Another awesome thing about InfluxData is that its technologies are used to make a positive impact on our planet. Working with companies like EnerKey to reduce energy consumption, Bboxx to help with energy poverty and Vleemo to operate wind turbines, time series data is not only useful in the virtual world, but also in the quest to make our actual world a greener and more sustainable one.

Last month InfluxData announced its new built-in Edge Data Replication feature that provides synchronous replication of data between devices at the edge and datacenters in the cloud. This is big news in the world of edge computing and this new feature gives InfluxData customers an advantage when dealing with some of the challenges that can arise with the edge.

The company has most recently been seen in Forbes discussing the ubiquity of time series data and in TechTarget talking about why data collection is an essential part of IoT deployment. Rick Spencer, VP of Products, was also featured on the Kubernetes Bytes Podcast talking all things InfluxData from IoT and Edge computing use cases to how InfluxDB cloud runs across three major cloud providers.

BOCA is proud to work with such an awesome forward-thinking company. We love being a part of their journey and are excited to see all of the cool things to come!
