BOCAteer Spotlight: Lindsey Giaquinto

By December 16, 2022 No Comments

My name is Lindsey but my friends call me Linds

What do you do at BOCA?: I’m a content strategist at BOCA, which means I work with the BOCA team and our clients to plan and develop content including press releases, byline articles, reports, commentary, messaging and more. The strategic element of my job means that I’m always thinking about how to tell the right stories for our clients — ones that align with their highest business goals and position them as leaders and experts in their space.

I also work with clients on the social media side, developing social strategy, creating effective social content, and managing community engagement across platforms.

What is life all about for you?: It’s about intentionally creating the life you want to live, making the most of your moments, learning, growing and making genuine connections.

What drew you to PR?: For most of my career, I worked primarily in in-house marketing roles (in fact, I was first introduced to BOCA as a client!), and I also worked for myself as a freelance writer and social media manager for a time. I’ve always loved telling brands’ stories, so I wanted to give PR a shot because I knew it would give me a slightly different angle to tell those stories — going beyond direct brand promotion to craft broader narratives about industries, business and tech. It’s a lot of fun to work with so many different clients, and to become a mini-expert in areas you thought you would never know so much about! Plus, for a long time, I thought I wanted to be a journalist and PR is really just the flip side of that.

What do you do for fun when you’re not killing it at BOCA?: Outside of BOCA, you’ll find me baking/cooking with my husband, wrangling my large-and-in-charge (and incredibly sweet) golden retriever, or attempting to learn French. I’ve also been trying to get back into focusing on my health after all the pandemic disruption, so I should also say I’m a begrudging runner and a genuine fan of reformer pilates because I love any form of exercise that allows me to lay down.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?: Would love to go to Singapore again, but next on my list is probably Iceland!

What are you binge-watching right now?: Recently finished rewatching “Friday Night Lights,” and I just started “The White Lotus.”

What is your number one motivator? Giving my best effort in everything I do. This can definitely be a double-edged sword as I have a tendency to be a bit of a perfectionist, but it also means that I hold myself to a high standard and strive to show up the very best I can for the people in my life.
